Ahoj. Při koupi 1490T jsem v ní měl Software 4.00. Při připojení na my.garmin mi to nabídlo update, který jsem řádně provedl a nic dalšího mi už k instalaci nenabízí (provedl jsem i jednorázovou aktualizaci mapy). Ale Software je stále 4.00. Později jsem si všimnul že to jde ještě více rokliknout a podívat se na verze FW pro jednotlivé části. Tam mám u GPS 4.30, pak je tam ještě Bluetooth a ještě něco co si teď nevybavím.

Chtěl jsem se zeptat jestli je v pořádku že vidím v sekci System pořád Software 4.00 a až po dalším rozkliknutí 4.30 u GPS? Původně jsem totiž myslel že právě aktualizace zvedne číslo u Software (to je zde na stránkách 4.20 jako nejvyšší, ale 4.30 je teď ta poslední).

GPS 4.30 je software pouze pro GPS čipset (samotný přijímač GPS). Něco jiného je firmware pro samotný přístroj, který je aktuálně ve verzi 4.20.

Na webu Garmin uvádí, že poslední verze fw je 4.30, ale tu stáhli pravděpodobně kvůli nějaké chybě:

Místo toho je tam odkaz na verzi fw 2.10, kterou samozřejmě WebUpdater nerozezná. Čeká se tedy, až Garmin chybu opraví.

Takže chápu-li to správně, tak je ta úplně nejnovější sice v4.30, ale protože s ní byl problém, tak zůstává nejnovější 4.20. Tato verze (4.20) ale nyní na update serveru garminu není a jako poslední nejnovější ji nahradila dokonce stará v2.10. Takže mám-li v navi v4.00, tak mi to update na poslední validní 4.20 nenabídne, protože je tam právě jen ta stará 2.10. Je to tak?

Je pak tedy nějaká jiná mořnost jak do navi dostat alespoň v4.10? Ta toho přinesla poměrně dost, především u RDS prý koriguje to že někdy ukazuje autonehody v opačném směru. Zítra mě čeká dlouhá cesta a chtěl bych to mít aktuální.

Nejlepší by bylo, pokud by se dal někde sehnat nějaký jednoduchý instalátor např. 14xx-FW_420.exe který bych jen spustil a firmware se mi do připojené navigace nahrál.

Škoda, že jsem si soubor GUPDATE.GCD ve verzi 4.20 ze zařízení odstranil. Možná ho bude mít někdo jiný, protože zmizel i z webu Garmin. Je tam ale k dispozici alespoň verze 4.10 (přejmenovat na GUPDATE.GCD a nahradit v zařízení tímto souborem):

Alternativní instalace: přetáhnout tento soubor na zástupce programu WebUpdater.

Takže nakonec jsem spustil WebUpdater a ten mi už rovnou nabídnul k aktualizaci verzi 4.40, takže oprava je už na světě... tato verze v podstatě přináší opravu z 4.30 + opravu při zamrzávání na úvodní copyright stránce + opravu možného zamrznutí při ztrátě signálu.

Předtím jsem ale chtěl zkusit tvůj postup s v4.10, ale bohužel ten soubor GUPDATE.GCD jsem v navigaci vůbec nenašel, takže jsem jej nemohl nahradit tím co jsem si stáhnul. Hledat jsem přes TC včetně skrytých věcí, takže opravdu ho tam nemám. Nicméně to přetažení na WebUpdater by nejspíš fungovalo.

Každopádně velké díky za rady a tipy.

GUPDATE.GCD je obvykle ve složce .System (má atributy skrytá a systémová složka). Taky koukám, že oprava je už na světě.
